“Our dream was to build a Spiritual Retreat – a haven where guests can escape from the normal pressures of life. It has been necessary to expand our vision beyond that and now we can almost say that ‘Satori Springs is what you want it to be’. We are a B&B, day spa, community centre, year-round swimming facility, family holiday destination, small conference facility, wedding facility, local tennis club facility and specialised resort – as well as the home of Satori Springs Spiritual Retreat Weekends. We endeavour to live our truth, and judging by many of the comments from guests who have stayed in the private rooms, or families who have used the self-contained accommodation or participants of one of our twice-yearly retreats, we have managed to achieve that. About Satori Springs
An angel is set on the highest point of the land overlooking the majesty of the property. Its aspect takes in the rolling lawns and gardens, across the lake with its old English style boatshed and wooden rowboat and out across the beautiful bush of 102 acres filled with nooks and crannies for you to discover.
There is a magic in the air here. A natural brake which pulls you back into the moment and treats you to the time to just breathe and enjoy the peace.
The interior of the house; the light, the space, the sounds, the textures, the treasures are all designed to bring a sense of calm, balance, inspiration and possibility. A tranquil canvas on which to decorate your own time here.
Whether you want to fill your time or have time trickle quietly by you, there are plenty of options. Snack on a fresh veggie from the organic garden, enjoy a game of tennis, a swim in the pool or a row around the lake. Walk to the creek or just sit quietly by the tumbling stream.
About Grant and Julie
Your hosts Grant and Julie each bring complimentary energies to Satori Springs.
Besides being a very generous, passionate human being, Grant has worked in the business world for the past 30 years, taking his product to the UK, USA and his native New Zealand.
Satori Springs has allowed him to reinvent himself as a labourer, painter, gardener, landscaper and master of retaining walls! He has helped shape the property into the haven it is today.
Grant also practices magnetic healing which is also known as energy balancing or auric healing. This gift came to him 20 years ago when he began to feel the energy around people’s bodies. He is capable of detecting where there is disease or negative energy and then lifting and removing it, making room for healing to take place.
Julie, his wife of 23 years is a highly sensitive, enthusiastic and joyful person. She has spent her life sharing the magic of music with kids as well as writing, publishing and playing her own music. (juliesongs.com).
Julie is a practised community magnet, bringing together adults and little people alike in choirs and drum circles wherever she goes. For the last 10 years, she has been a continent chameleon making her music in London and LA before finding Satori Springs and home.
Julie has a sparkle, an open connection and is able to channel spirit through a meditative state, receiving messages to help people on their healing journey.
Julie and Grant have four gorgeous (grown) children and one extra-gorgeous grandchild!
